About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and instrumentation used in oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in industrial electronics with experience working in hazardous environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain electronic and instrumentation systems used in drilling, production, and processing facilities.
- Troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, sensors, and communication networks to minimize downtime.
- Perform diagnostics and preventive maintenance on field and plant equipment.
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in accordance with company and industry regulations.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with engineers, operations teams, and field service personnel on system upgrades and project implementation.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an electronics technician in the oil and gas or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC systems, motor control circuits, and process instrumentation.
- Familiarity with safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in remote field or Shop environments as required.
Preferred:
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, VFDs and automation systems.
- Valid safety or H2S certification.
